Pioneer Day

My big plan was to just blog major holidays, b-days and vacations...but with cute pictures like the one below of Sadie and Emmy what is a girl to do??!! Just seconds before I could pull my camera out Emmy had her hand just a little lower too which was HILARIOUS! Our stake put on an amazing Pioneer Day activity and we rushed from a t-ball game so we could be apart of the festivities.

Sadie Pirate Birthday Party

It's so amazing to see these pictures of Sadie side-by-side over the years! It really is crazy how fast time is flying by and Sadie is changing so much!...Okay, enough with the tears, because on the flip side it is so awesome how much of a helper and how independent and mature this girl is becoming too. I feel so lucky to be her Mom!
Sadie wanted a pirate party and my Mom hooked me up with a bunch of great pirate decor!
Brian has started a great tradition of taking the girls out to breakfast on their birthday, so that morning they went to Smitty's and Sadie was excited to have pancakes, eggs, and bacon (we rarely do bacon in this house!)
I don't think I have any pictures of Sadie at her t-ball game, but we brought treats for the team. Sadie really wanted to pick out some sunglasses so we did a little shopping that afternoon.
These pictures make me miss Skittles, the cat we had joint custody with our neighbors. It was such a great systems and we would just trade it back and forth. Brian decided we couldn't have a cat because I had a hard time following the "keep the cat outdoors" and other kitty rules. It sort of became my baby and I had it pretty much potty trained....but all in all that sweet kitty was a time sucker. I'm sure someday we will get another kitty!
Back to Sadie's big day. We did tie dye while Bree took a nap. I can't wait to do this again with the girls. They use their shirts all the time for pajamas.
And what's a Sadie birthday without more crafting....Sadie and Emmy did the mini murphs from Papa Murphy's and then Sadie really wanted to make her cake.
The family party began after Brian got home from work.
He drew an incredible treasure map for Sadie to find her presents. I mean what an ARTIST! Seriously?!?!
Sadie is such a happy girl and brings such a great energy into our home.
The cute neighbor girls came over for cake and brought Sadie a present.
Sadie's masterpiece!
A few weeks later Sadie had a friends party.
Emmy and Sadie insisted on wearing their pirate costumes to pass out the invites.
And they got to decorate the party food.
Bree was a bit of trouble as all babies should be.
Let the craziness begin. I am so grateful for Gabby and Eva who stuck around and helped and hung out. I have such awesome friends!!
It ended up being really hot and the kids were all way tired so we watched Peter Pan in the basement until parents came.
Happy Birthday Sadie Lady!

Deck

Just a flash back to July when Brian built us an awesome, sturdy, beautiful deck! He has a few more details like handrails and such he wants to add to the deck, but it has been wonderful to have and is a huge improvement over our two tiny decks we've lived with for the last six years. I didn't know I married such a handy man!
And why not a picture of our garden too!

Can You Tell...We Love Disneyland!
