Funny Pilot

There is a thin line between a funny prank and thinking you are going to die a fiery death.

Shoshone Falls

_DSC5335_30

This last week we drove to Shoshone Falls in Twin Falls to see the sights.

We got there pretty late in the day, but it was still blazin’ hot.

The girls did great in the car sleeping most of the way. We stayed at the Shilo and did lotsa swimming and went for a nice run around the town. They have a really fun trail right by the Magic Valley Mall that is right next to a deep ravine where the Snake River runs though.

Twinkle

Last Sunday we walked around the temple and saw the exhibit called “Heavenly Majesty – Images of Creation,” which is some pictures of stars, galaxies, and other views of the universe from the Hubble telescope. It was really sweet when Sadie ran up to the Christus and was so excited to see Jesus!

When we were looking at all the pictures of the galaxies I was reading the scriptures and the plaques on the walls to her and Sadie started saying the word to “Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star” because that is what she thought they should all say...

Sadie is TWO!

It’s been a couple of weeks since Sadie turned the big 2 and it has taken awhile to post because Sadie decided that with turning two she needed to work her Mom and Dad over for a little while. She is back to her sweet, energetic self and it is going to be a lot easier to talk about what a wonderful girl she is now :) Sadie woke up to Little Einstein decor and balloons and she was so excited because she fully understands what a birthday is now and had been anticipating hers for awhile. That morning we went to Great Harvest for breakfast and I let her choose whatever she wanted. She chose the BIGGEST cinnamon roll they had and ate all the raisins out of it.

For lunch we picked up her Dad and had a picnic and played at the playground.

Then for dessert we got snow cones from our favorite place, the Sno Shack.

With all the excitement of the day Sadie just couldn’t fathom taking a nap so by the time her official birthday party rolled around she was a bit tired... Earlier in the day when she would normally be napping I had to find stuff to do with her to keep her busy so we went to the dollar store and picked out a birthday hat that she wore for a token picture. On the drive back she fell asleep and took a cat nap until Grandma and Papa showed up.

I wish I had a better picture of her cake, but here it is in all it’s glory. I made the cake balls around it, but Sadie picked out the circle cake from Wal-Mart. I tried twice to make a cake, but each time it would fall apart when I tried to transfer it from the pan. She was just excited to see the Little Einstein figurines anyways so it was in the end a success!

A bit spoiled are we?

A couple weeks after her birthday we had a party with some of her friends in the backyard.

She was so happy when everyone sang her Happy Birthday.

Emmy was such a good baby and slept a majority of the party. So I had to get a quick picture of her when she woke up. I am so lucky to have such sweet girls!

A few things about Sadie....

She likes to be naked (with a diaper on) about 90% of the time

If she sees a doll or stuffed animals with clothes on the need to come off immediately so they can be naked too

She has such a cute little twang in her voice

She likes to hold Emmy, but only for about two seconds at a time

She likes to play in the dirt, sand, and water

Her favorite foods (in no particular order) are shredded cheese, blueberry muffins, hot dogs, pancakes, berries and popcorn

She likes to watch Little Einsteins, Tarzan and Toy Story

She knows her colors, counts to 20 and sings lots of songs, her favorites being This Old Man, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, Skidamarink, and ABC’s

She is so fun to have in our family. We love you SADIE!

4th of July

To start the day off we decided to run the Firecracker 5K along the Parade Route and it was so friggin cold and windy. Brian stayed with me the entire run even though I am WAY slow.

Brian’s entire family got together at our house for a BBQ and lotsa playing.

This fruit pizza is to die for!

Tyce and Emmy are about 24 hours apart. Neesha and I totally planned it! Here they are at 5 months.

That night we went to the industrial park to watch the firework show. We kept the kids entertained chasing a laser.

Sadie decided she was too cool for the rest of us and sat by herself under a nearby tree to watch the show.
