Shoot 'Em Up!

We were really bored last night around 7pm and by the pictures below I guess you can see what we decided to do. Brian took me shooting and he was hitting all of the targets we set up and I only hit the can once(but I was way excited when I did)! I know how to load a gun now which is something that anyone in a horror movie would need to know. Now I just need some target practice. We bought over 500 bullets so we are on our way.

Bear Lake

Brian wrote such a nice thank you letter to his parents/family that I wanted to post it.... Hey Fam, We have had a good time the last couple of days. I had a lot of fun. The power outage and sunburns included, this was another perfect addition to a great list of family memories we have had together. I am so happy to know that though all of our situations have changed...we are still the same family having the same special family experiences together. I am also glad that when we get together as a family, we all get together as a family.
We are very lucky to have parents who will do all that they can to ensure that we continue doing things together. I know that we, or at least I, get on them for going to all of the trouble to get our family together rather than spending all of that money and energy on themselves, but I realized that I and we as their kids (and grandkids) need to count ourselves lucky for having parents who put their family as such a high priority. With our parents, everything comes second to family. That is a good feeling. So to Mom an Dad, I want to say thanks...this wasn't the first time and I doubt it will be the last time you have managed to create lasting memories with our whole family that will never be forgotten. To everyone else (Nikki, Anjie, Devin, and the rest), thanks. I am blessed to have brothers and sisters who know the meaning of families. Families stick together and I am glad we have. So...until the next time, rest up, eat up, and thank your lucky stars for the Stewart Clan.

Kel's the BEST!

I am absolutely convinced that I have the greatest wife in the world! She has been keeping this blog up for a few weeks now and has done a wonderful job.
She and I have had an amazing ride together these past couple of years and though I know we both would love to have the opportunity to make our family bigger, we have been able to become each other's forever buddy throughout everything.
Kel has been my support and literal constant companion as I always find myself sitting in the house calling for her to come be by me just so I have that feeling of not being alone. Even though I am sure it gets on her nerves, she is always willing.
I count myself one lucky guy to have such an amazing gal by my side. Cute (by cute, I mean drop dead gorgeous), funny, understanding, happy, and loving...I have found my best friend.
Kel, thanks for everything. Thanks for the walk by high-fives, hugs, action-flick dates, and for you. You have made my life. No matter what happens, I know that I have you and that will make all of the difference. I love you Sweets!

Field of Greens

We have been playing a lot of catch in preparation for the softball season starting on Monday. Tonight we added batting to the lineup. We brushed up our skills at a place called the Field of Greens. This ghetto batting park is just up the street from where we live. The balls were coming so fast that we were getting tired, so we decided to keep half of the tokens for another day.
Other than softball, Brian has been playing bball with ward members Wednesday nights. He was hitting a lot of three pointers last night, so I hear. They play pretty late so I haven't gone and watched yet. In my attempt to be active, I have been running on my treadmill while watching, "So You Think You Can Dance." (I wish I could dance like Sabra!) I really like this show and it takes my mind off the monotony of it all. Brian and I also like to go for bike rides around The Village. There is an airport runway really close to where we live so we always stop and watch a few planes take off. Fun Stuff!!
This next week we are going to Bear Lake with Brian's family. Brian and I are going to attempt wake boarding. (aahhh) This will definitely be interesting since neither of us has ever done this. I went water skiiing once and Brian hasn't been for a decade. I'm sure the wake board will get the better of us, but we will give it our all.
