We Go Boo!

It feels like Fall

We had a very successful crop of pumpkins this year so we decided to throw them all on the porch because who really needs to get to our front door anyways. Sadie likes to play/rearrange all the little pumpkins and I ended up liking what she did better so, Go Sadie!

I somehow made my way onto two different cooking sites and I saw these fun candy corn cupcakes and cookies and I just couldn't help myself. Either I was just really hungry or felt like baking because that is what I did for a majority of the day. The rest of the day was spent doing dishes (I hate that). They look better than they taste I'm afraid!

This was Sadie's and my project this weekend. I saw this bat thing at my crafty friends house and I just had to copy her. The best thing of all it that it was completely free because I had everything I needed to make it. I can't wait to copy more of her ideas.

Emmy gives me the best smiles whenever I pull the camera out. It is wonderful! Sadie on the other hand could care less. I really hope she gives in sometime and will just give me a toothy grin. I probably shouldn't hold my breathe though.

A Little Randomness

We had a great weekend listening to conference and soaking up as much sun in between sessions as we could. I am just glad we have everything recorded on DVR and we can look forward to the Nov. Ensign because we have a little problem in our home with meltdowns when we try to watch something other than Little Einsteins while Sadie is awake. Here are more bow pictures, yes. This isn’t even a good angle of the bow, but a great angle of Emmy! I love that she has just enough hair for it to look messy. To stay alert during conference I whipped a few more of these out and added tulle to some. Love it!

We went to the zoo in between the Saturday session. I think this is our third time this summer and the last time before the zoo officially closed today. Next year when we take the girls they will both be running all over the place. It’s crazy how much Emmy is going to change in the next few months with walking a talking.

You gotta bring snacks to the zoo. I am sure there is a sign somewhere saying no outside food and we were dropping fishies all over the place. I bet the zoo animals were grateful!

This little old lady offered to take our family pictures and we were much obliged. I never really think to ask anyone, but I am glad she was so thoughtful.

On Friday we went to feed the ducks and I decided I needed some white trash new shorts to wear, so we cut off some jeans and started to give it a distressed look by using the toilet scrubber thing (Brian’s idea). Pretty gross huh? I swear we washed our hands and the jeans shortly after! Sadie likes to try on Emmy and my clothes. What a cutie!
