November was a blurrrrr

Good thing I have my cellphone or I would have next to no pictures of anything that happened in November...and if I don't have pictures I literally won't remember a thing we did. So here is a November phone dump...enjoy.

It seems like there was a lot of being sick going on up in here. November was a month of having the stomach flu

 Sadie's friend Kina stayed with us for a week. They like to steal my phone and take self-portraits. I could make an entire post of all the silly things they take pictures of.

 We voted

 We went to The Wizard of Oz and the girls loved it! It'll be great when Emmy is older and can sit through this kind of stuff because I know she'll soak it up.

 We did a lot of making yummy treats, playing outside, dr. visits.

So Much to Give Thanks For!

This is the third year of doing the chalkboard thanksgiving board. It is always fun to see what the girls want to put up there.

The girls helped make some cranberry fluff for the dinner that night. Most of it stayed in the bowl. Can I just say how much I loved Thanksgiving. The entire week was super laid back and Bree really only sleeps well in her crib so I got to spend a lot of quiet time at home while the girls were completely entertained with cousins.

 I love pulling out the turkey bow! It's always a fight over who gets to wear it. It's Bree's turn next year.

 We cancelled cable so watching the Thanksgiving Parade was not nearly as enjoyable to watch without being able to fastforward, but we still caught some great moments. One of them being the Cinderella musical songs being preformed (the girls love those songs!) and a nice Rockette sister moment. PS Don't mind the Christmas decor in the background. I was getting a little ancy during all of my downtown.

 All ready to go to Grandma and Papa's house for Thanksgiving.

 I can't even begin to explain how much these girls LOVE their cousins. They just barely got home from playing with them today and it is 10pm at night. Usually these girls would be crying and dying to go to sleep, but they came home feeling so loved and happy.

Later that week...these two came along while I took the Towne's family pictures. I sure do have cute assistants!

All Hallows' Eve

It was such a nice warm day that we spent most of Halloween outside playing. The girls had a picnic with a mummy main course. The funny thing is our backyard has a gradual downward slope and about five minutes into the picnic the entire picnic table had done a 180 (thank you to wiggly little girls) and all of lunch ended up in the grass.

Brian came home for lunch and we slaughtered some pumpkins.

 I told the girls they could dress up however they wanted to on Halloween and this is what they came up with. Emmy was Mariposa the Barbie (thank you to a beautiful hand-me-down costume from her cousins) and Sadie was a Snow Princess. They both wanted their hair bright pink and Sadie insisted on white eye makeup. How fun are they :) There was beautiful lighting outside and we did a minishoot in the front yard.

 

 

Our next door neighbor really goes all out and the girls still point to their house and remind me how scary it was for Halloween. 

That night Brian, Sadie and Emmy went to Papa and Grandma's while I put Bree to sleep...

 It's no big surprise that my girls like to setup my studio and take pictures of their own. Sometimes the girls want me to take pictures of them too when they are feeling extra pretty in their dress up clothes. Here is Sadie with her two favorite toys - Lizzie and Rosie. And below is a picture that Sadie took.

Trunk-Or-Treat

The neighboring always does a trunk-or-treat and were nice enough to post it on facebook this year inviting our ward...yay! It was a nice warm night and always fun to have a reason to dress up and get some usage out of Halloween costumes. 

 Can I just say how hot Brian looks in his Halloween getup...yes no one got to see Brian in his full-fledge pirate Halloween costume, but he was looking dang good. Love this picture of Brian and the girls!

1st Annual Stewart Family Halloween Party

 I kept finding Halloween game ideas on Pinterest and printing them out so one night we decided to have a Halloween party for FHE. We did bingo, Don't Eat Frank, Twister (not Halloween-ish, fun so fun), Bobbing for Apples, and eating donuts on a string.

 Playing twister with a two-year old is a riot. She doesn't know the rules and all of a sudden becomes very obedient as we call out, "head on red, nose on blue". Love that girl!

 Sadie always calls to be the one who spins and reads off the directions.

 Next up...bobbin for apples aka let's see how wet we can get. We got some hilarious family videos out of this activity!

 Emmy has sort of made it a habit to crash while Sadie is at school. It is the only time of day that the house is quiet enough and nothing is going on. Can I just tell you how much I love it!
