...and then 3 became 4

We are so excited to share the new that we are 12 weeks pregnant and due February 10th! Sadie and this little tyke are going to be the best of buddies.

Here's a video of our little coconut jumping around. The books all say that it is too early to feel any kicks, but I swear I do all the time, and after watching my ultrasound video I feel justified in saying so!

Girls Camp

I got to go to Girls Camp for a day and a half and I think I chose the best night to go. We had an incredible dinner, the bishopric came up to visit and I got to hear each of the girls testimonies. I feel lucky to serve in the YW.


The camp theme in our ward was, "Bee an Example" so there were bees everywhere. When I got to our campsite I saw that I was the Queen Bee and it made me feel very special :)


I really am not a fan of dogs, but I kinda thought this was a pretty one and it made me feel better that they were there just in case any bears tried to sneak into camp. Someone told me it was too hot for bears, but you never know... and I have seen the documentary, Grizzly Man, and I haven't been the same since!

We've been spending a lot of time in the water. We went to Rigby Lake last week and I was so happy that Sadie loved it! I have also discovered how much I love spray sunscreen!


We've also been having some fun pool parties where I have started to see that Sadie can be quite the tease. She can also kinda be a bully sometimes, but I guess we will just call it "street smarts" :)


We went to Garcia's to celebrate Brian's Mom's b-day and Sadie's b-day was only two days later so she got to sport the sombrero too.


We are headed here tomorrow for a week so bring on the sand, sun and fun. We are ready for it!

It seems to be that we make it to Mesa Falls annually now which makes sense because it is so beautiful up there. This was Sadie's first time going and she saw saw so many dogs which makes anyplace wonderful to her. She knows how to say "ruff ruff" and as soon as she hears, sees or we tell her there is a dog she ruffs none stop for a good minute.



So I asked Brian if we accidentally dropped Sadie over the edge if he would jump in after her and he told me he would find a way to climb down really fast, but I think he would just have to jump in and chance it because otherwise she'd be a goner! He told me he would probably die if he jumped in and I told him that would still make me feel better because at least we tried... do other people talk about this kind of stuff or are we just weird?!?!



After Mesa Falls we drove to West Yellowstone for lunch. This time we tried Buckaroo Bill's. I asked for lemon in my water like I ALWAYS do and they mixed a little lemonade in my water turning into what Brian liked to call "pigeon water". It was pretty nasty. We got shredded pork and beef burgers. It wasn't the best so don't go there ;)



We have found that the Dairy Queen in W. Yellowstone is very generous though and we always have to stop by. It is always the busiest place. I got my huckleberry chocolate which I am still waiting to savor. We sampled huckleberry licorice (delicious) and next time we go up there (in Sept. maybe) I really want to buy the huckleberry gummy bears!


I kinda wonder the story behind all the bulls around the town. If you look closely there are signs that say "do not climb or sit on the bulls" but we didn't look until after we tossed our baby up on it so don't judge us! It was SO well worth her expressions too.



That night we came back and took the walls of water off our tomatoes and weeded the garden so we still felt like we had a very productive Saturday. We are going to have an insane amount of tomatoes so I hope my neighbors and friends like them because we are definitely going to share the wealth!

Happy Birthday Sadie!

Our baby turned one year old on Wednesday! It is quite the milestone and it is just amazing to me how much she has grown and changed in only a year. We decided to celebrate by having a luau for our little hula baby! We ate kalua pork, long grain rice, sweet potatoes, pineapple and coconut.

Here is Sadie's cake in all it's glory. It was my first attempt at using fondant...actually really my first attempt at making a decorated cake in general so I was pretty happy with the result. In case you are wondering it is suppose to be a grass skirt bottom and the top layer is kinda like mix between a starfish and a flower.

Sadie was spoiled by her grandparents, aunt and Brian and I. Altogether she got 31 books which seems like a lot, but that is what we do most of the day so it will help keep Sadie and I sane!

Brian was mowing the lawn on Tuesday and decided to add some eye candy to our yard. He is such a cute dad!


We didn't really know what to expect with the whole b-day cake, but Sadie just aggressively dug in with both hands and then very delicately would bring her hands to her mouth to get a taste. Such a funny little girl!
Here are Sadie's latest stats... Weight 18lbs. 5 oz (17th % not really proud of this one, I swear I feed my child!), Length 30.25" (88%) Head Cir. 18.75" (98%) So she still has got a big head, but there are a lot of brains to hold in there :)

Happy 4th!

At 6am we were up and getting ready for the neighborhood breakfast that Brian was in charge of. There was a really nice program and so much food! Sadie enjoyed being out and about so early.


We had a BBQ with Brian's family for lunch. We felt like we were at a meat buffet there was so many choices. Then after the big rain storm we walked around the river and ran into some friends.


We came back home and had dinner and chilled until 9pm when we decided to head back to the river and watch the fireworks. We weren't really sure how Sadie was going to react, but she endured the fireworks for about ten minutes before she fell asleep on Brian's lap. We came back to our house and lit off more fireworks with Brian's family. We had a great 4th of July!
