We went down to Utah a couple weeks ago for my Mom’s Birthday, a Thurman Reunion, and just because it is plain fun to go. Brian got to stay for the weekend and then headed home to work hard so we could play hard in Utah.
Here is my dad (in the middle) chillin’ with a couple of his brothers.
During the week I got to see my sister in the play Big River at Sundance. She was AWESOME. I hadn’t seen her in a play for almost three years! She played three different characters and nailed each one perfect.
We spent a lot of time swimming in my parent's pool.
I should have got a picture of their waterfall. It is amazing. We sat by the fire pit one night and roasted marshmallows and just enjoyed all the hard work my parents put into keeping their yard gorgeous.
We had a birthday celebration for my Mom where my cousins and Aunties came.
Caleb, Evie, and Sadie are at that age where birthdays are about the most exciting thing in the entire world!
Lisa and I went to a sushi cooking class at Thanksgiving Point. Can I just tell you how much I LOVE hanging out with Lisa. She is always up for anything and I know I will always have a great time with her. Lisa and I discovered that night how much we like eel. We were putting it on everything and just stuffing as much as we could in our mouths when no one was looking. There were also these little orange fish eggs that the instructor told us were expensive so we were dumping that on everything too. I know we are a little strange!
On the drive home we needed a breather so we stopped at a rest stop in who knows where. I went to the restaurant that was a part of the gas station and I was only planning on using their highchair and leaving, but then the waitress brought us a menu and I felt like I should just order something at that point. So I knew Sadie would eat pancakes and that it wouldn’t take them that long to make so I ordered pancakes from the kids meal and this is what they brought. That is the biggest kids meal I have ever seen. Sadie was in HEAVEN!
And we made is home in one peace! That is always good too...
