I haven't been on my treadmill for a long long time, but this morning I had the urge to watch Hairspray and decided I could walk while watching. (My doctor has sorta been against me working out too much during my pregnancy just to be safe) I was completely making a fool out of my self belting out the songs and dancing in the basement along with all of the music. (good thing Brian is at basketball games all morning) Anyways...Christopher Walken plays Tracy Turnblad's dad on the movie and he does such an amazing job. It reminded me of this music video I used to really like. Thank goodness for YouTube, I can find anything with the press of a key.
And then I am sure everyone has already seen this clip, but it is SO FUN I thought I would post it. It puts a big smile on my face whenever I watch it... Disclaimer: DON'T TRY THIS AT HOME...IT IS A VERY BAD IDEA

We Love Easter...Yes We Do
The Easter bunny brought Brian a remote control helicopter that he had fun running into the wall and ceiling Sunday morning before church. He had a permanent grin on his face the entire time.

For dinner we ate a very yummy roast that Brian's mom prepared to perfection. We also ate our favorite candy and had a nice relaxing Sunday. We really didn't take too many pictures of the Easter festivities, but I found some older Easter pictures that pretty much represent what we did.

Watch Out When Kelly Gets Bored....
I'm sure I am not the only one that goes through a period of thinking, "My hair is so boring!!!" So I decided to add to my plethora of hair frying tools and bought my second triple barrel curling iron on Tuesday. This one is great because the barrels are a lot bigger than my older one. (men don't understand this kinda stuff, so sorry to any man that reads this post and thinks it is lame...especially Brian!)

PS I tried to give my best "Blue Steel" look, but I just look like I am playing the fluffy bunny game with marshmallows stuffed in my mouth!
Brian's Jazzy Adventure
Bowlero
We were so happy to spice up our usual Saturday night of takeout and a movie by going on a double date with the Perkins a couple weeks ago. We went to the Thai House and had some great curry and stir fry dishes. Then we decided to take out the weeks frustrations on some pins at Bowlero.
We had a pretty competitive game going for awhile. Daris left us all in the dust!

That's Never Going To Happen To Me
I remember hearing about all these physical and mental changes that happen to woman when they are pregnant, but I seriously never believed any of it would happen to me. I just thought it was a convenient excuse for woman to use for nine months. Boy was I wrong...
Losing My Mind
I just barely finished writing this post and was ready to "publish it" and somehow I deleted the entire thing which leads into this subject perfectly... Last Friday I was suppose to have my glucose test and I was trying way too hard to follow the directions(it wasn't that confusing), but ultimately I messed it up and finally figured it out after I had already chugged the entire orange drink.
It sorta tasted like a melted popsicle that burned my tongue and made everything on my insides want to be on my outsides (thanks Brian Regan). Now I have to take the test again sometime this week, but this time I decided to spice things up and get the fruit punch flavor. Does it get any worse?!?
Nesting
This is not necessarily a bad thing, but I have been hit hard with this nesting faze which consisted of emptying the closet in the baby room and sticking it all in the entryway. I also had Brian hang up this heavy metal decorative piece that we are kinda weary may fall on our heads one of these days.
I went to TJ Max on Monday and was amazed to find this nursery set. I checked on Ebay and it was listed for 60 dollars more than what I bought it for. My mother would be so proud! Besides the freaky butterfly faces I absolutely love it!!!
Getting a Big Belly
I am 24 weeks along and feeling it. By the end of the day my stomach is bulging. Brian had his ear on my stomach last night to try and hear the heart beat and she kicked him in the head twice. She gets a lot more active during American Idol.

What A Cute Referee!
Brian was called to be the Stake Sports Director, so every Saturday morning for about four hours and every Thursday night for another three hours Brian is either referring, keeping score, or playing basketball. Every once and awhile Brian will even get up at 5:15am and go play basketball at an open gym. He is one dedicated man to the sport of Basketball. Once I went with Brian to his Saturday morning basketball games and he was refereeing some deacons/priests that didn't quite understand what traveling meant. It was hilarious to watch Brian try to ref these kids while at the same time coach them and help them understand the rules. He is really good at teaching and being patient with these young men.

Two posts in a row!
Call me a sick twisted freak, but the link below will take you to something that completely cracks me up. Be warned that this is NOT for the faint of heart (i.e. Kelly...my beautiful wife), people who hate wasting time doing pointless things, people who are afraid of falling and giant bubbles, and feminists (trust me...it would still crack me up if it was a guy).

Sprinkle Me With Powdered Sugar
We had a very fun Sunday. Brian and I made angel food cake from scratch (which is something I don't normally try to do). Brian helped me sift the flour and sugar a bunch of times and I had to beat the
eggs for what seemed like an eternity. I was happily surprised that the cake looked and ended up tasting like it was suppose to. I decided that since we were going to be feeding people this cake I should make it look a little nicer and lightly dust powdered sugar over it. I was only going to do a light layer, but Brian told me to add more...and more...he said he wanted me to hide all of the imperfections... Brian then went on to say that he wished I could sprinkle powder sugar over him to hide all of his imperfections. Maybe you just had to be there, but it was SO FUNNY! I laugh daily at his quirky comments :)
We also played the Wii for the first time with some friends which is an experience all in itself. Brian threw the controller and hit the wall once (oops) and I lost every game I played...bowling, boxing, and tennis (we did win once though...wahoo!) We are very glad to be in a fun social neighborhood.
And just for fun here is a belly shot of me close to 22 weeks.

I decided this page needed to be a little more cheery...bring on the polka-dots! About two years ago I saw a picture in someone's house that I fell in love with. I looked up the artist when I got home, Pino Daeni, and everything he does is amazing! I really want to own one of his paintings one day.
