St Pattys 2016, 2017, 2018

2016
The Leprechaun got a hold of our Mickey Disneyland money!

2017
A lot goes on at the kitchen table.
Activity Days Show and Tell/Talent Show in our basement. Oh how I miss our stage and movie set up!!
I love Rosie's half asleep expression drinking her green milk. She must have been pretty desperate because I remember her not being happy her milk was a different color.
Bottom left with my posse. I wish I could remember what this was about.

Feeling Green

I have such a love hate relationship with St. Patrick's Day. I love looking back at old pictures and seeing the girls leprechaun trap and their creativity at it's finest. I love dressing them up in rainbows and green.  This year though they fought over the gold coins that the leprechauns left. Emmy has been very upset the last two years because she doesn't believe in leprechauns and it just breaks her heart to think that it all isn't real. We've had a lot of long talks that St. Patrick's Day is not a big holiday and that she should be really happy that she is getting candy and we do a few fun things. I've told her numerous times that all we did growing up was wear something green and maybe the milk was green, but I really only remember that one year. The expectations she has are threw the roof..... Bree set up the trap I made about nine years ago with Amber back in the days I would craft over at my neighbors house while Sadie and Brooklyn (her daughter) would just be learning how to interact and play with each other.

We ate Irish Beef Stew, jojo biscuits (from the magnolia cookbook) and Brats for lunch. Then we went to walk around USU campus and up Logan Canyon to burn off some of the kids energy. Also now that it is warming up I feel like I need to reintroduce the kids to playing outside. They rarely will go out without me majorly coaxing or dragging them out. Bree is always up for a bike ride and Sadie and Emmy enjoy the backyard, but they really don't just go outside and play on their own right now.

Brian's parents were down watching the cousins this weekend and they have the best traditions of putting together cute green treats for the girls and Brian and I. We always love this tradition and hanging out with them!

Emmy wanted a little extra dough from the biscuits today and made this CUTE bunny rabbit. Onto decorating for Easter tomorrow.

St. Patty's Day

We got a visit the day before St. Patrick's Day with a fun package that Grandma puts together for the entire family. The girls are also so excited to get their special package and lets be honest Brian and I are too!!
Great Grandma stayed in the car so we all came out to give her big hugs.
A leprachaun came and put up streamers and left foot prints.
The girls turned it into a game of who can get through the streamers without touching them...the answer....no one! They collected all of the foot prints and divide them up before Sadie took off to school.

Emmy requests a craft daily and this has got to be one of the easiest ones around. I love when there is a craft that takes awhile and she can do it all by herself, so this one was just perfect.
This was the first time that Bree had to sort and search for colors. Very good practice for a smart two-year-old.
It's a little rare when these two get along for longer than ten minutes so I had to grab the camera and snap pics to remember.
Emmy had dance and I had bought these socks on clearance so someone had to wear them! Bree begs all the time to take class and sadly there are no classes for two-year-olds! Bree asks Brian and I constantly to dance with her. We put on a Bree mix we have and swing her around and dip her a lot!
I made corned beef and cabbage (and potatoes and carrots). It was okay for a once a year type of dinner. The girls were downing the meat. I guess I bought the wrong cabbage, but who really eats that stuff anyways!
We had friends over and Eva brought the soda bread and then it was onto crafting again.
There were a lot of rainbows hanging up around the house for awhile!

St. Patty's day

The girls were all dressed up in green for St. Patty's days so why not do a little photoshoot!
Brian must have brought home cupcakes for the girls because I don't remember where these yummy green cupcakes came from.
We had a delicious traditional Irish dinner of corned beef at our friends house that night.

2013 St. Patrick's Day

I've gone back and label almost all of my posts, so now we can go back and see all the St. Patrick's Day or Easters and so forth. It is so crazy to go back and see that boy oh boy these girls are growing up fast!!
