Craigslist came through and I finally sold my scooter to some dude in Wyoming. I am so happy to have it off my hands and Brian is so happy to have more room in our garage. It came just in time to pay off all of the hospital bills for Emmy’s birth too! It was fun to have a scooter while in school, but it isn’t the most useful thing when you have a young family to get around. It also was a bit unreliable (and that is a major understatement). We had good memories with the “hunk of junk” though such as Brian taking it to his first day of work at Nitro Security, getting hit on BYU campus and the insurance money paying off the scooter, riding past the security gate and parking close to all of our classes.

These two are such pals. Sadie wants to hold Emmy all the time and today Emmy poked Sadie in the eyes to get her back for all the times she’s done it to her and Sadie thought it was the funniest thing. Sadie looks just like Punky Brewster with her piggy tails!

Emmy officially rolled over tonight! I laid Emmy on her back and ran outside for a min to put some plants back in the garage and came back to her on her stomach and not too happy about it (but it made me happy).

I told Sadie to make a silly face and this is what she came up with. Sadie keeps grabbing this disposable underwater camera and walking around the house saying cheese and pretending to take pictures. I am SO proud of her!

Sadie went to one of her best friends birthday parties this last week. She loved the Mickey Mouse theme and the cupcakes too.

On Saturday was our ward talent show and I was in a skit with some girls. I forgot how long it takes to learn a routine. I felt like a major dork, but I sort of revel in that kind of stuff so it was fun for me.

3 Months

Funny Things About Emmy

She loves jumping on the trampoline. I hold her like I am rocking her and I can jump as high as I want and she just laughs and laughs. She got her first tooth last week and is working hard to get the next one (she's even bit me once). She rolls to her side and sometimes accidentally ends up on all the way on her tummy. She enjoys tummy time more than her sister ever did, she smiles all the time, but saves her biggest smiles for Sadie (who she adores), her squeals sound just like a cat, she likes to eat A LOT and already seems excited to watch us eat, she loves her baths, rarely ever cries, and gets mad if she doesn’t get enough eye contact and/or conversations during the day. We love our Emmy!

Wolverine Canyon

Brian took us to Wolverine Canyon, where he would go repelling in highschool. We spotted some pretty birds and Sadie posed for Brian in a farmers field. Emmy slept the majority of the time.

Dang!

Shave my head and I AM this guy!!! I do this kind of stuff all the time at home (especially putting my clothes on while I flip down the hallway...just ask Kelly).

Firsts

Here is Sadie enjoying her first ice-cream cone from Reeds Dairy. She is such a health nut that she decided to dip her broccoli into her ice cream. YUM!

My daughter has HAIR! Yay for me. I finally get to fix it, which actually puts one more thing to do on the list before we head out, but it is still exciting nonetheless. She looks really cute with a ponytail too!

Here is Sadie at her finest. We are approaching terrible two’s and I am afraid I am just not ready for it yet!

Who needs a baby doll when you have a little sister? Emmy face says it all! These two really love each other and it's fun to watch them interact and smile at each other!

Happy Mother’s Day to me. I had a wondering day full of delicious food, a nice nap, and great company. Brian made a delicious breakfast and a steak BBQ lunch. Sadie made me a card during nursery with lots of pretty stickers and Emmy slept a little more than usual that day.

We had a great 6th anniversary at the Sandpiper. Too bad our waiter was kinda a doofus (not only b/c he can’t take a decent picture, but he really was just strange in general). It’s all good though because we left with a complimentary gift certificate from the owner to use during our next visit. (I won’t get into details, but we didn’t complain or anything to get it).

I got the Red Snapper with clam chowder soup. It looks better than it tasted, but the soup was to die for!

More Fun in Utah

Brian had finals last week, so I took the girls to Utah to visit my family. My cousin (that was my bestest buddy growing up) was graduating from UVU so he had family in town and I got to see my Aunty and some cousins that I haven’t seen in forever.

Emmy thought my Mom’s thumb was delicious! This girl just won’t take a binky!

We went to the Sandy Aquarium and Sadie thought it was cool that she got to touch the string rays and see penguins. Actually she was just happy to stuff her face with pretzels!

We celebrated Cinco de Mayo with my family. My Mom got Cafe Rio’ and we had a fiesta.

Here are all the grandchildren with their "Nanny.”

Sadie and Caleb are two months apart and he must have left quite the impression on her this last week because she keeps crying for her “CALEB!”

Zekie (my five yr old nephew) took a great shot of Katie and I. My sister, Lisa, and my Dad took off to Kauai for the week so I missed them. Guess we will have to make another trip soon.

I'm excited to hear the kids singing for the Mother’s day sacrament meeting tomorrow! It will be so fun one day to see Sadie and Emmy up there too.
