Picture Overload

Between raising two busy girls, watching the first season of Glee (which is so addictive), and ...well... LIFE, it is really hard to keep up on blogging, so here is a catch-up of pictures and events from the last few weeks.

Emmy had her two month check-up awhile back and here are her stats...12lbs 4 oz (83%), 23.5" long (87%) and 15.75 head (79%) She has started to squeal and has great conversations with whoever will listen. She is sleeping really well (she usually gives me a 6-8 hour stretch at night) and can lift her head up pretty high during tummy time.

For FHE we pulled out the Primary hymnbook and played songs. Sadie’s favorite show is Little Einstein’s and she is really into music, playing with friends, and rocks. When Emmy is taking naps, Sadie and I go on “nature walks”, but all she wants to do is pick up and examine the neighbors rocks. Luckily a majority of our neighbors have landscaped with rocks, so there is quite the variety for Sadie to play with.

Brian got a BBQ this last weekend and I will never go back to boiling my artichokes. They taste SOOO good grilled.

I’ve been trying to get family pictures each Sunday after church and this is the resistance I got from Sadie this last week. She looks like such a little teenager!

For Brian’s lunch break we went and fed the ducks. Sadie had so much fun that we went again the next day with some friends.

I entered a picture in a photo contest this last weekend and went to a workshop where I learned some Photo shop and posing tricks. It was fun using some local printing and framing stores so I finally can suggest some people to my photography clients other than Sam's Club!

Sadie had her first bubble bath on Sunday and asks for one daily now. It is a great way for her to unwind at night.

Brian has finals this next week and then we get him all to ourselves this summer! This Thursday is our 6th yr anniversary and we are going to The Sandpiper to eat (YUM). Brian bought himself a super duper new phone called an “Incredible” (I think). The girls and I are headed to Utah on Friday for about a week so we give Brian plenty of time to study and plant us a beautiful garden.. And I think that about sums everything up!

All About Sadie

Sadie started talking in complete sentences this week and boy does she crack us up! A few I remember are “I fell on my bum”, "I need that", and “I laid my baby down”. When she is done eating she says “All dundundundundun.” It get’s longer and longer the more time it takes for us to clean her up. She likes to get all of her stuffed animals lined up on the fireplace mantle and tells each one to “SIT DOWN” very sternly. Sadie takes her basket of swimsuits all over the house and dresses up in her leotard and tutu’s almost daily now. She loves nursery now and play dates with her neighborhood friends. Here are a few more pictures for your viewing enjoyment!

Our Pretty Girls

21months

I loved Elder Ballard's message about Mothers and Daughters in the Saturday morning session of Conference. I feel so lucky to have two beautiful daughters I get to have the joy of raising!

Happy Easter

EasterPageRe
We had a happy Easter in the Stewart home. Sadie and I put broccoli out for the Easter bunny the night before (we didn’t have any carrots...oops). The next morning Sadie was really worried that the broccoli had been eaten and scattered around the front pork. The Easter bunny hid our baskets around the house and Sadie thought it was funny that hers ended up in the dryer. She loves her magnadoodle and our candy drawer is stocked to the brim. My friend, Amber, made Sadie and Emmy these adorable bee hairclips which I was so grateful for because it is hard to find stuff to put in a two-month-olds basket!

On Saturday I had to wake Sadie up from her afternoon nap to make it to the ward Easter Egg Hunt. We were the last one’s into the nursery room so Sadie was having a hard time locating any eggs. We found a corner with three eggs and thought we hit the jackpot, but before we could get them this little girl swooped in and started grabbing them all as fast as she could. I quickly got one egg and threw it in Sadie’s basket so it wasn’t all in vain. Her one egg was looking so sad that a nice person decided to throw a few more eggs in there which Sadie was grateful for ;) This cute bunny bow was also made by Amber.

Emmy is still such a sweet baby and loves cuddling with us. We had a great weekend listening to conference and all the many great talks on the importance of FAMILY.

Happy April 1st

I should be napping since both girls are down, but instead I stumbled across this FUN photography site. Doesn’t this picture just make you want to smile (or at least go camping). I wanted to share it with my peeps since I know there are a lot of you that are into photography! Click on the picture to see more... kid
