Rosies 6 months

Rosie got her 6 month shots today and was so brave! She is the runt of the family thus far. Looks like I get to do a photoshoot with this sweetie! Now that she's sitting up that should be pretty easy.

Santa Claus #3

We happen to catch Santa at the mall today and boy was he super sweet with the girls! He asked them what Mommy bakes at the holidays that the girls like to eat and they said I don't know, but Daddy makes peekaboo bread! I guess I'm slacking in the baking category when the girls can't even come up with one thing I make! I interjected that I make cranberry fluff so I didn't seem so lame and they all agreed it was good to make me feel better! ;) Santa also sang Do You Want To Build a Snowman from Frozen.

Advent Gingerbread playdoh

Bree couldn't get her dough flat enough I guess! Each girl wanted to taste the dough because it smelled so good! Such a funny reaction when the three main ingredients are flour salt and cream of tarter!

Swimming

Google will notify me sometimes that they have made a video of my pictures of the day. I especially liked this video. The girls LOVE going swimming in the warm pool at the gym.

All I Want For Christmas Expo

We went and saw Santa and Sadie danced at the Christmas Expo.

Christmas 5k race

This last Saturday I ran in a 5k race at Snake River Landing and Brian and the girls ran a 1 mile fun run and wow was I impressed with these little runners! Emmy ran the entire mile without stopping! She said it felt like tarantulas were crawling up and down her throat and that it was burning! Sadie said she was grabbing show along the race to eat and Brian said Bree ran the first half mile of the race without stopping! When she got to the finish line she was running in a zig zag, so I am guessing she ran more than a mile :) These theme was Santa of course and also Christmas pajamas so we all threw together what we could find. My beard was surprising a great running accessory and I could use it to stay warm when I needed it.

Sadie made a sign to hold up for me for the run and then later told me that it was for me to hold when she ran! I love that is says...."Go Ho"! Such an innocent little girl!

Joyschool

Today I taught joy school and we learned about the letter K. I have always seen these contact paper crafts on Pinterest and wanted to do them so I broke down and bought the supplies from Walmart. I only had to ask three different workers and call one friend to figure out what section the contact paper was in. The kids totally loved the kite and pulled them all around the backyard with their strings and pretended they were flying.

One more cute memory from today. We do joy school for two and a half hours and that is a very long time for 3 year old so they always end up doing lots of breaks and playing. The few times I went to check on them they all four were playing baby in Rosies room and the next time I checked on them they were all clustered together in Bree's room. I just found it cute that in a home with so many toys in different areas that they all clustered together and were interacting so well.

Angel Tree

I decided I'm going to start blogging from my phone and maybe I can keep up on some day to day memories. This morning I went to a class at the gym and they had an angel tree there. I had already signed Brian and Sadie up to buy presents for two people through a neighbor friend so I picked two names for Emmy and Bree that were kids the same ages as them. We went to Walmart today and they picked out of two baby dolls that blew kisses and winter coats. Bree was dying because she said she wanted a toy and that she wasn't getting anything! We don't put presents under the tree because we do "Jesus presents" and have them do service and then write what they did on a piece of paper and then put it in a tin. So she thought she was being shafted. By the end of the day when we dropped things off she was feeling much better about things. Emmy was wayyyy into the entire giving experience and was really happy that the coat she picked out for the girl matched the coat she was wearing. Emmy has such a serving, nurturing nature about herself. It took quite a few years for this side of her to emerge, but now we can see it in full force and it is pretty awesome!

Sadie/Emmy Memory...

Today was the first day of the school year where I saw Emmy and Sadie acutally walking down the road from the school bus together. Ususally one of them makes it home a lot sooner than the other or they are walking with neighbor friends and not eachother.

Well, they get to the door and they are super excited to show me a sister handshake they made up. They do a few hand slaps and then take our their chapsticks and hit them together and put them on themselves and then eachother. So dang cute!

It melted my heart and I let them know over and over how happy it made me that they sat by eachother on the bus, walked home together and just plain enjoyed being together.

Wish I had a pic or video of it!
