Halloween

Happy Memories! I fixed Emmy's hair and makeup this morning for school and Sadie came in and said longingly, "You should have fixed my hair like that for my baptism!" There was some major hair envy going on!! We did peek-a-BOO bread for breakfast (Brian made it up...it is a hole cut out of the middle of a piece of bread and then an egg cracked in the middle) and spiderweb looking pancakes. Brian pulled out a Korean costume for work.
I had to give Bree (and myself) a major pep talk this year because last year when we went to the Halloween costume parade at the school there was too much excitement in the air and Bree tried to climb me like a jungle gym and fell, crashing to the hard floor right in the hall where all of the parents were lined up on both sides for the parade. I left that day too thinking it was waaaaayyyy too crazy of a day. But this year it was awesome! Bree stayed in Sadie's classroom and got to make slime and walk with her in the parade. I didn't sign up for either class to help and just showed up, took pictures, and gave Emmy lots of reassuring hugs (it may have all been too intense for her as well). There were quite a few kids that ended up crying during Emmy's class party because of the craziness that was ensuing with a stick your face into whip cream game.
I just realized that the only time Rosie dressed up this entire month was when I was trying on a little Chinese outfit on her really quick to see if it fit. She has been sick with a head cold and fever almost the entire month! She stayed home tonight and helped me pass out glow-in-the-dark bouncy balls and then waved at trick-or-treaters as they left. Rapunzel has been on repeat for the past two months because it is the only movie that keeps Rosie attention.
What a fun surprise to have our old neighbors the Hymas family show up for trick-or-treating!!
Sadie ran off to trick-or-treat with her "best friends" and I never got a picture of her dressed up as a sugar skull skeleton. It was pretty funny though when I was putting the tattoos on her, that Rozzie thought I was hurting her I guess because Sadie was lying down in the living room and I was pressing a washclothe to her face and Rosie almost started to bawl! Then she did a complete 180 and picked up our plastic caldron and tried to bash it into Sadie's head....I tell you, that baby is CRAZY!
Our next door neighbor Fred is the salt of the earth! He puts so much time into making sure his house is really fun for all of the neighbor kids! He just bought this blow-up dragon this year and was super proud of it!
The girls and their loot. I put this orange bowl in the middle and told the girls to give me whatever they didn't want....well Emmy put about 90% of her candy in there and only kept the skittles. What a generous girl :) SCORE!

Halloween 2015

Bree decided since Sadie was having blood oozing out of her mouth that she needed blood too. So I guess she is a blood-sucking witch!

Carving Pumpkins

I told the girls to make a face like their pumpkins!

Halloween Class Parties

Sadie's 1st grade class party - This is my favorite party to volunteer for. The kids had been telling me the weeks prior what their costumes were going to be when I had come in to volunteer so it was fun to finally see them all dressed up. There were five Elsa's in Sadie's class but they somehow all ended up with different dresses.
This was my first year making it to see the Halloween parade.

I was in charge of the Halloween Photobooth pictures.
Emmy's class party was adorable. Their teacher dressed up as a clown which I never got a good picture of. She has a pretty mellow class for the most part so things just ran smoothly.

This is the craft I manned.

Emmy's Pumpkin Patch Field Trip

Emmy LOVES preschool! And I love that she is so independent running into the class by herself,  getting dressed in the morning and brushing her hair. It has all been a good experience thus far. The field trip was on such a nice day and Emmy was in heaven. There were kittens roaming the pumpkin patch and the girls spent most of the time passing the kitties around.

No wall is going to hold Bree in. She forged her own path!
