Sadie's Favorite Song

I've been singing this song to Sadie and she never knew it came from somewhere. Well today we were on the computer and YouTube came through with a bunch of versions of this song. I actually use to watch this show growing up! I thought I would post it because she keeps telling me "idee, idee" which means "again."

Growing Up Fast

5weeks4_30text

My two girls are growing up so fast. Emmy is such a social smiley baby. As soon as I catch her wandering eye she has a HUGE grin from ear to ear. It is kinda hard to capture it with a camera in-between us so I’m still working on it. She is still sleeping a lot, but when she is awake Emmy is a cuddly girl. She sleeps most nights in her swing and catches ZZZ’s whenever and wherever she can. She can lift her head up when she is doing tummy time and has lost a bunch of hair, but only in the front, so it looks like she has a receding hairline. If Sadie is not careful I have a feeling that Emmy will catch up and pass her by with long luscious locks. To see more pics go here.

Sleep

Sadie is now sleeping in her big girl bed! I was so scared about transitioning her thinking she would wake up all through the night or try to climb out, but she did great and is still sleeping like a champ. We turned the daybed around so she wouldn’t fall out and good thing we did because Sadie turns circles when she sleeps. Sadie has a few obsessions right now including swimming, singing along to The Bumblebee song and Skidamarink song which she calls the “I Love You” song, and running everywhere. Sadie can count to twenty and speaks around half gibberish and half coherent words. She gives Emmy kisses on her head every time she cries and is very loving blowing the mailman, the garbage man, and whoever she sees kisses.

It would seem from their expressions that my family is annoyed with me taking pictures! All I can say is they better get used to it!

Last week Emmy and I finally went to all three hours of church and we both felt like this when we came home. It was fun for me to go to Relief Society again because between my Primary and YW callings I haven’t been for years.

Yawn

This week was Brian’s Spring Break so to celebrate we bought a trampoline. It was the first decent day we had had for a little while so Sadie and Brian spent the evening setting it up. It was cute to watch Sadie follow Brian around the trampoline handing him springs. She is really such a good natured little girl always wanting to help and make us happy. We have already done lots of jumping and Brian is going to teach me how to do a a tricky flip where you land on your back and then flip over. I will have to wait until I am in a little better shape before I pull that one off.

Emmy’s Big Day

BlessingDress3TEXT

Emmy was blessed the 7th of March and she was promised some wonderful things in her blessing including that she will have a desire to spread the gospel, that she will be happy and will uplift those around her.

This is our token family shot minus one. Sadie is not really into posing these days hence the lack of pictures of her in this post!

Here are all the men in the blessing circle. Emmy had some pretty good bouncing going on with that many hands supporting her.

Sadie loves all her cousins so much and got to spend a lot of time with the the past two weeks. She has especially bonded with Rylee, Kaya & Caleb and actually cries for them sometimes. It would be so fun to live close enough to see everyone more often...maybe someday.

Here is almost all of my family who drove up from Utah for the festivities. It was nice to have so much family from both sides there to support us!

A tender moment between the sisters.

This is Emmy’s Great-Grandmother and the sweetest woman you’ll ever meet.

It was a lovely day. Thanks to all that shared it with us.

Good Times in Utah

Gateway6_30

I spent the last week in Utah with my family and we took a fun outing to the Discovery Gateway Children’s Museum.

Sadie was so grateful to be out of the house and have so many new things to discover and play with.

Here is a bunch of things that put a smile on Sadie's face!

I tried keeping Sadie out of the fountains because it was a little windy, but she was too fast for me!

She was smart to run into the water realizing there was no way I’d go after her holding a camera.

One of my favorite things to do in Utah is going out to eat.

We went to Rodizio’s, Kneaders, Tokyo Sushi, Rumbi’s, Great Harvest, Pei Wey, The Pendulum, Schlotzsky's, & Pier 49 Pizza.

Let’s just say my diet starts this week! It was also so fun to go out with my old high school buddy Melissa and catch up!

Holy Cow!

I can't believe it has been almost a month since I have posted! That must be an all-time record for me. Life is so busy with two little girls and we are loving every minute of it. I have a bunch of pictures of Emmy's blessing day, Brian and Sadie's trip to Colorado Springs and fun times in Utah, so be expecting that soon, but in the meantime you can go here to check out our new ward blog. I was released from young womens and now I am the ward historian!
