Each night the girls insist on having snuggle time and always call to be 1st, 2nd or last. They use to always call that they wanted last until I pointed out to them that I'm usually burned out and tired by the last girl so now they always want to be first.
I thought it would be fun to start to write down what they want to talk about each night.... And maybe the order too because that may be interesting to see if there is a trend.
Emmy- they finally got the caterpillars at school today and they are 1 cm long but will grow to be an inch. The eat all day and night. Yesterday Emmy talked about how it was her fish Phil's birthday and she had made him birthday signs and decorations around her room. More about Phil here.
Bree- really wants Lupe from school over and I was suppose to talk to her teacher to get her Mom's phone number. (I dropped the ball on that one!) The night before Bree told me that when we build a house she wants to have a crying room like at Nanny's house (whatever that means)
Sadie - Sadie was telling me all about Grandma's and Great Grandmas porcelain dolls. She said it didn't really matter what outfits they were wearing. That wasn't how she determined their cuteness...it was all based on how their faces looked. When she was talking about the dolls I could tell why someone would collect them. She was so enthusiastic and couldn't even fully express how much joy it gave her to look at the dolls! This must be a genetic thing that I don't get :) haha!
Rosie- I actually jumped into the crib with Rosie last night bc she has been so clingy and was whimpering when I put her in bed. Two of her molars are about 75 percent pushed through.
So much happens week to week and I have been having this nagging feeling for sooo long that I should be journaling! So here goes....our week in review according to Brian's from Brian and my phones!
Easter last week and I don't know how so many people get the perfect everyone smiling Easter shot! I took a few pictures of Rosie and then when Brian brought the rest of the girls home from church everyone was so burned out that we didn't get anything too great. The girls got their baskets Saturday morning and we went to an Easter egg hunt at Snake River Landing that was a bit too crowded! We had a great Easter meal with Brian's family Saturday night and I ate more food than I did at Thanksgiving because there was ribs, pulled pork, ham, baked potatoes....all of my favorites!
I have been really debating whether or not Bree should try out for competition dance for this next year and after a few weeks all signs are pointing to a BIG yes at this point. I just found out that one of my top two favorite dance teachers is going to be back next year to teach the youngest girls. Bree spends so much of her day watching family videos of Sadie's old dances and learning the routines, and I am at all of the competitions anyways so why not send Bree out on that stage to shake her stuff.
More Bree news...I put her name into the lottery at the charter school and she was accepted! I had put Sadie's name in the lottery way back in the day when she was going into 1st grade or kindergarden not really intending on sending her, but just wanted options and she didn't make it in. I ordered a bunch of clothes off of Children's Place for Bree to try on and her older sisters got way jealous and want to go to the charter too! I told them that there was no reason they couldn't just wear the uniforms to Wdestside and now they are fine with it. I was so glad that Sadie and Emmy made such a big fuss about how cool it was that Bree got new school clothes and how cute they were so Bree could feel special!
I took these two to spin the wheel at Jamba Juice when they were having some sort of celebration event and they won these sweet neon shades! The acai bowls there are sooo good and I have tried, but just can't recreate them!
Bree wore her western clothes to preschool on Friday. She was pretty bummed she didn't get to wear her hat into school because it was more of a western show and tell type of thing and not actually western day. Pretty lame rule if I do say so myself.
Sadie had a dance competition in Burley, Idaho on Saturday and Sadie said, "Mom, why is that girl waving at me?" Low and behold it was one of her cute little neighborhood friends that moved away a couple years ago, Sunny Rose.
We carpooled to the competition with these fun gals! Sadie did so awesome and made it to the final round of the dance off which was HUGE for her! I could tell it really built her confidence and made her feel special!
Emmy and Bree went to the birthday of all birthday parties yesterday! It was a carnival theme and had so many different stations and games for the kids to play! They all got to take home a goldfish so we made a late night Walmart run to get fish food. I told them that the goldfish wasn't going to live that long because we didn't have a filter for the tank and they keep putting their hands in there trying to catch the fish. I felt bad telling them that but it's going to crush them when they are floating on the top of the water in a few days. Emmy insisted on having the tank/vase in her room so she could have a "friend" in there and not be lonely! She named her fish Fill....not Phil. Haha!
Sadie is OBSESSED with Harry Potter! Everything she talks about and every second of her free time is spent working on something having to do with Harry Potter. So cute....but for how long :)
Daddy putting the girls to bed one night... It was a miracle that Emmy's bed didn't collapse. Each girl requests "snuggle time" and putting them to bed takes such a long time, but they really do open up a lot right before they go to bed and most of the time they want to talk about the funniest things! These girls are so different and have such varying interest!
We went to IJump this last Monday for FHE and had the entire place to ourselves for about the first 30 minutes.
We went to a ward auction this Friday and came home with an Orange Leaf gift basket, a kid apron and chefs hat, a black bracelet Sadie had to have! And a rich and delicious dark chocolate torte with raspberries on top! That night I watched the last episode of This Is Us and was in tears!
