Latest Project/Crafts

Here is the before....

And after... Brian did pretty much all of the work. I started it back in June and then found out in the middle of the month I was pregnant so it got put on hold for awhile because of the painting involved. Thanks for all the help Bri! I love it. Also I don't think I ever posted a picture of the faux painting I did in the office. I used a wood stain and rubbed it all over the wall and then rubbed a little off. I can take credit for this part :) All it does is just bring out the texture of our walls a little bit more.

I made this awhile back, but I just updated the pictures on it.

Here is the matching block to go with the other craft I made. This couple just looked like they needed a pedestal or something.

This is the latest Enrichment project I made. I went to Traditions last week and they made Emmy's name for free. I think we are getting pretty set on it :)

Here is the next project I want to tackle. I think I am going to paint it a darker color and then use crackle paint and have white be the top layer. Then I am going to cover the cushion with a fun fabric. This one may have to wait until after Emmy is born so Brian doesn't have to do everything again!

Sadie's Got Some Big News...

We had our ultrasound Monday morning and found out the wonderful news that we are having a baby GIRL! We really like the name Emelia aka Emmy and now just need to work on a middle name. Sadie knows all about babies and thinks her dad, me, and herself all have babies in our tummy's. She's been giving lots of kisses to her baby (my belly)!

Emmy looks to be a very healthy baby. We forgot the VHS at the Dr. office yesterday, but we will have some fun video to post once I pick up the tape. This was our first experience with having a 3-D ultrasound and it was so cool to see every little feature on her. I had this overwhelming feeling that I just wanted to hold her in my arms. It was a great experience and now we just can't wait until we get to meet her!

Our Pretty Girl

One Sunday night we went to the river and let Sadie roam wild. She is a tough subject to shoot, but the pictures are always so worth it!

"Babes at the Zoo"

Kinda a weird name, but that's what they call it, and what it means is you get into the zoo for free with a baby in a stroller. Here are our babes...

Sadie and Brooklyn are the best of friends and like to share everything and play together really well.

Sadie was climbing up on everything to get a better view. She really thought the flamingos were something else.

Fun with the Web Cam

Garden Update

Our garden has been flourishing and it has been fun to go out and pick stuff everyday for our meals. Yesterday I made my very first batch of salsa and I must say that it was amazing! While I pick the tomatoes Sadie has learned to find the strawberries (her favorite) and just eats them until they are all gone. We have also discovered that Sadie really likes corn on the cob. Go figure!

The Fair

We went to the Eastern Idaho State Fair Tuesday morning and it was a completely different experience than last year when we went and Sadie was only two months old. We watched the horse competition and our favorite horse didn't even place! This lady looking at Sadie won first place and she was super nice so I guess we shouldn't be too disappointed.

We stayed at the petting zoo for quite awhile and I liked it a lot because they didn't let all the animals roam loose around you. They were all fenced in and the kids could reach their hands through to pet them. Of course Sadie wasn't having any of that and just stuck close to us.

Look at the freaky llama in the background who totally smiled for my picture. Kinda creepy huh?!?

Animals are pretty amazing to a 14 month old. Sadie was trying to make the same noise as a pigs by clearing her throat. This age is too cute!

I think this animal is about to eat Sadie's arm.

This is as close as Sadie got to going on a ride. We thought about riding the Ferris wheel, but decided to just spend all our money on food because that is the real reason we go to the fair.

I got a chicken gyros, Brian got a teriyaki bowl, Sadie got a piece of bread with fresh strawberry jam and we all split the scone nuggets. Sadie just ate the honey butter and let us have the scones. How nice of her!

Next year I think we will go at night and will ride a few "barf rides" like we did last year. Sadie will even be tall enough to go on a kiddie ride. Yee Haw!

Insane dog...

This dog is a little disturbing. He's a little unsettling, but I can't look away. He's either the most adorable rabid puppy, or just an incredibly ugly, brain-dead rat-dog. I keep expecting him to explode but he won't...I wish he would.

Sooooo Many To Choose From!

The girl names I am lovin right now are Boston & Emelia (we'd call her Emmy). This little sweetheart (Lia) got me so excited today for the arrival of our little "WhatChaMaCallit!"

And I get to take this funny little girl's pictures next week (Cate) and I'm so excited!
