Splash Park

Sadie and I rarely go to our wards weekly playgroup because she is usually napping, but we made a big effort to go to this one because it sounded like a lot of fun. Sadie loved crawling around in the water and had a fabulous time except for this little bully who thought it was funny to splash Sadie. She was not a fan of that!

Hands Down...

The day before my birthday we went to Taste of Idaho. There were twenty restaurants at Snake Rivers Landing and we got to sample them all. Brian and I were there really early and got to hit a lot of the places before the crowds got there which is the way to do it. Then we took a much needed break because we were both SO FULL and picked up Sadie and went back with tupperware for the last few places. We were eating leftovers for two days!

I had a really great birthday. We went to Red Robin's to celebrate and not only did I get a free dessert, but also a free chicken ciabatta burger that was delicious. Sadie is over her happy infatuation with restaurants so we may just be getting a lot of take out from now on :)

Sadie made Brian a really nice card for Father's Day. We probably should have practiced the hand prints a few time before we tried on the actual card, but Brian didn't seem to mind the smears.

Happy Father's Day

You've been such a great Dad to Sadie and we both really appreciate you! Hope you have a great day on your first "official" Father's Day!

Happy Birthday, Kelly!

We love you, Kel!

(I apologize for the girl that shows up at the 00:01:07 minute mark...she freaks me out a little)

I may (emphasis on 'may') watch more golf if...

It were more like this...

What We've Been Up To...

Nick (my little bro) and Erica were married Thursday at the Timp Temple. It was such a cool day! These two are SO in love and it was fun to see family and celebrate with everyone.

I decided that the big yellow NIKON on my camera strap was tacky and therefore made myself a camera strap cover. It took about ten minutes and cost a total of .88 cents to make. I think I will have to make myself a few more. I kinda used this tutorial in case anyone else is interested.

In other news, I was called to be the Young Woman's President a few weeks ago and it's been so much fun so far, but also so much work! People keep asking me if I am "overwhelmed" and I guess if I stopped and thought about it I probably would be so I think it is just best to not dwell on it and just keep chipping away at the things that need to be done :)

Brian is the Stake Athletics Director and the Ward Activities Chairman and is currently planning a stake softball day and the Fourth of July neighborhood breakfast... so between the two of us church activities are our lives at the moment.

One of our goals this summer is to organize the garage and Brian is outside right now putting up shelves so we are well on our way. I am also doing some crafty projects around the house that are soon to be done and I will do the clique before and after picture because it is going to be just amazing. So check back for that (haha)!

Sadie is walking all over the place, but only about nine steps at a time before she biffs it. She has grown a nice little mohawk that blows in the wind on our little bike rides around the neighborhood. Sadie really enjoys flipping the pages of books and has been really cuddly a lot which I just LOVE! She also imitates a lot of things I say to her and is getting really good at being quiet when we say prayers unless I mention her "dada" and then she has some fun things to add. She is going to be one year old in a few weeks! I can't wait to see her dig into her birthday cake.

So Graceful

Sadie was such a good sport while we were down in Utah. We grabbed my sisters chair, drove to this old house in Lehi and went to town taking pictures. To see more go here. Thanks Lisa & Dad for your help.

Coming soon to a gallery near you...

Gorgeous

I'm down here in Utah having a gay ol' time with my family until Saturday. Thursday is my little brother's wedding and I have included a preview of pictures to come. This one is of Erica's gorgeous wedding hair. My three sisters, Erica (practically my sister) and I are off to get manicures and pedicures right now. GIRLS NIGHT!

Lightning Speed

Sadie was scared of grass for the longest time, but has now overcome her fears and is cruising all over the place...

Garden Update

Brian and I have been excited with the progress our garden is making. The peppers are flourishing and everything is starting to pop up. Even the onions that were planted upside down (an honest mistake :) are making their debut!

Brian has got the best ideas. One night he spent a few hours putting together signs for our herb garden. He glued pieces of wood together and burnt each name on. He is so dang crafty! I told him to keep going and make a sign for everything in the garden too. I'm keeping him busy.

Messy Messy

On Monday I had a meeting at my house and Sadie watched this little girl start pulling at the grass on this plant. Before that I don't even think she noticed the plant was there. So I was in on the computer and Brian was outside working in the yard and when we found Sadie she was eating dirt like it was no one's business. One by one my decor is being moved into the laundry room. I realize this is just the beginning of many more messes to come... and I am not ready for it!

So I am wondering if there is some parenting technique out there to teach kids not to touch something? Like some repetitive things you are suppose to do, or is this just wishful thinking :)

My little girl...

Updated

I took pictures of a family this last Saturday during a terrible wind storm at the river, but we still managed to get some cool shots...
