Happy Anniversary to Us!

We got a new bedroom set yay...and double yay to finally have a king size bed! It really never bothered me that we had a queen because there always seemed to be things that we both would rather spend our money on before buying a new set. But, one impulsive day I went to Real Deals and ordered this beauty! They told me it would take about 2-3 months to have it shipped to us from China. I thought that was perfect because I wanted to help pay for some of it with my photography money and that would give me some time to save up....well....there ended up being a strike at the docks in California and the bed was sitting on a boat for an additional 3-4 months. So I think I ordered it the beginning of October and it finally arrived just days before our anniversary, April 29. It was well worth the wait! The first night Brian got the bed set up, we hadn't bought a king sized mattress so we just put the queen on. Little Bree Bree thought it was a grand place to take a nap.
We've only had the bed for about a month and I am in heaven! It is so nice to have so much room since I need about three pillows to sleep comfortable right now.  Every morning the girls have been slipping into bed with us for morning snuggles and now there is plenty of room for everyone.
I sewed some covers for the euro pillows so I need an updated picture! Our old bedding set ended up working great on the new bed...at least for the time being. I had bought the blanket in a king size back in the day so it just barely covers the new bed.

I included some pictures of the old setup just for memory sake. We have moved the long dresser and matching end table into the baby's room and we are storing the queen size bed with Brian's parents since I know we are going to need more furniture one day. Plus I've had this set since high school and I was feeling a little sentimental and didn't want to let it go.  We'll blame that on pregnancy hormones!
For our anniversary we went on a super exciting date....mattress shopping!! We have actually never needed a new mattress besides the twin mattresses I've bought for the girls from Sam's Club, so it was kind of a treading in new territory to figure out what we both liked best. We decided on a memory gel mattress (not as stiff as memory foam) from Hidden Treasure in Shelley. It is so amazingly comfortable and we got the best pillows ever at the same time! This pillow really is to die for. You've got to read these reviews on amazon. They are unreal.
For dinner we went to Stockman's, which has become my new favorite place to eat. They have this delicious salmon pesto salad that I get every time. I just discovered that their coconut shrimp is to die for also!
We started a tradition last year of bringing home a dessert and celebrating with the girls since it is the start of our family. We sing happy birthday to US and then blow out the candles. They love being included in the celebration!
Brian got me a lovely bouquet!

Happy Ten Years to Us!!

How lucky am I to be married to this amazing man!! The girls are always asking us to kiss, so why not get a picture...since it lasts longer :) We called our trip to Korea our ten year celebration so we got to have a nice chill night and go out to eat at Texas Roadhouse. We were so close after dinner to The Cocoa Bean that we picked up a cupcake to celebrate with the girls, because sometimes kids just need a reason to celebrate.
I saw this idea on pinterest to get the dates from dating and getting married and put them together. I loved having an excuse to pull out my journals and look up all of those dates, and reread our story of how the magic happened!

The candle is a bit mesmerizing for a 1 year old!

9th Anniversary

Oh how I wish I had pictures for each anniversary. I just did some digging and found these... Brian and I went out to eat at a Japanese restaurant. Happy 9 years to us!

Firsts

Here is Sadie enjoying her first ice-cream cone from Reeds Dairy. She is such a health nut that she decided to dip her broccoli into her ice cream. YUM!

My daughter has HAIR! Yay for me. I finally get to fix it, which actually puts one more thing to do on the list before we head out, but it is still exciting nonetheless. She looks really cute with a ponytail too!

Here is Sadie at her finest. We are approaching terrible two’s and I am afraid I am just not ready for it yet!

Who needs a baby doll when you have a little sister? Emmy face says it all! These two really love each other and it's fun to watch them interact and smile at each other!

Happy Mother’s Day to me. I had a wondering day full of delicious food, a nice nap, and great company. Brian made a delicious breakfast and a steak BBQ lunch. Sadie made me a card during nursery with lots of pretty stickers and Emmy slept a little more than usual that day.

We had a great 6th anniversary at the Sandpiper. Too bad our waiter was kinda a doofus (not only b/c he can’t take a decent picture, but he really was just strange in general). It’s all good though because we left with a complimentary gift certificate from the owner to use during our next visit. (I won’t get into details, but we didn’t complain or anything to get it).
I got the Red Snapper with clam chowder soup. It looks better than it tasted, but the soup was to die for!

Lucky To Be In Love

Brian surprised me on our anniversary and took half the day off so we could go to the movies. I picked 17 Again (poor Brian had to endure). Afterward we went to Kohls and I got a really cute swimsuit top. We ate at Cafe Rio for dinner and it was superb! So delicious! It was a really nice day of celebrating and reminiscing.

My latest article was just published. I can't wait to see it in all it's glory (I haven't got my copy yet)!

Dude! I've got the prettiest wife!

I guess I've got somewhat of an eye for photography (heh, heh). I took this picture of Kelly on our anniversary and a guy from work (big photog guy) took it and ran some filters on it. I thought it turned out really good. Anyway, I just wanted to show off my smokin' hot wife (even at being 30 weeks pregnant...amazing!)

What A Day!

We had such a fun anniversary. Brian and I got off of work early to go out to eat at the White Water Grill/Wasabi Restaurant by the river, but didn't realize they didn't open until five. So we killed some time by walking around the river and took lotsa pictures. Here I am at 30 weeks.

The ducks were all being sprayed by the falls. It was getting a little windy out there...

Here is the lovely bouquet Brian bought for me! They really brighten up my drab office.

Being pregnant has kinda put a damper on my love for sushi! Since it was a special occasion I decided to splurge and to just find something that was cooked and not too far out there. This masterpiece is called The Crane and it was quite tasty. Pretty much everything we ordered from the Wasabi menu was divine!

After dinner we went to Wal-mart and bought the stroller we had been eyeing. I love the fabric on it! It is very bright and cheery. I think travel systems are the best!

Happy Anniversary

Well, today marks four years since I married the most beautiful girl in the world. The last four years have been a blast and I don't think I have even scratched the surface of what this amazing gal has to offer.

I have amazing fun with Kelly everyday doing the smallest things. I count any day I can make her laugh a complete success. I'm sure I drive her up the wall when I follow her around the house, ask her to come see whatever dumb thing I am doing, or act like a complete idiot, but I would do anything to be with her or see a smile come across her face.

She has taught me so much from how to fold a shirt like they do in the store to what kind of movies give you the "movie feeling" (I'm still struggling with that one). What can I say other than she makes me better. Granted, she runs a tight ship, but I like it.

So after four years, Kel, I have just one request...don't stop what you are doing. I love every day with you and I know that I'll always love every day with you. Thanks for the last few years. I love you, Sweets!
