We just got back from a wonderful fall break visiting my family in Utah County. I wish I had pictures of Bree and my Dad making grape juice from grapes in their garden.
Katie, Sadie and I also did a makeover on Katie's living room shelves that we didn't get a before and after pictures of.
We did get a heck of a lot of pictures of the long weekend though. It was a grand time and I am so glad Nanny could come to so many places with us! Now that they aren't young babies that need naps, it frees up the necessity of someone having to stay home.
First up was the....
Dead City Haunted House
This was Katie's first haunted house and it was a pretty good one beside the blow horns going off and all of us getting hurt running into various objects along the path. Katie was smart and bought a glow stick that signaled to the workers in the haunted house to not yell or get up in her face. I should have bought one too and also brought ear plugs along. Instead I walked the last half with my hands covering my ears. Afterwards, we played miniature golf and a game of bowling at Fat Cats. Katie kicked our butts at bowling, Emmy came in second place and Sadie and I tied for last.
Cornbelly's
This was our first time to Cornbelly's and wow have they thought of everything!! The apple blaster was a fun activity. The kids loved the trampoline and all the free fair type games around every corner. For the grand finale activity of the day we went on a hay bail maze that accidently led us into Insanity Point. We didn't realize this though and just kept wondering why the little corn maze was taking so long. The group in front of us had a girl that was crying hysterically and I don't blame her. There were houses with naked mannequins with fake blood, someone that looked like the girl from the grudge flying down from the ceiling. All sorts of terrible things little kids should not see. By half way through Rosie was also in tears and completely scared out of her mind! After about 10ish minutes a worker found us and said that someone had left the door open where they weren't suppose to and we were not suppose to be in that part of the park!! It was my favorite part of Cornbelly's so I am glad we accidently happened upon it. Rosie has already forgotten about it...I think!
My girls LOVE Katie's cute nanny, named Grace! Sort of funny how Rosie edged her way right in to claim her!
Hee Haw Farms - Pleasant Grove, UT
I was so thankful for my mask so I could block out some of the dust!
This Turkey was just trotting around the farm so the girls caught it and got a great pre-Thanksgiving picture!
Scarecrow Walk at Thanksgiving Point Garden
It was such a nice day to waltz around the Ashton Gardens at Thanksgiving Point and see the scarecrows. We had just been there for the tulip festival in June so it was nice to see how it changed up for Halloween.
