Mud Bath

I just saw this article in the news yesterday and I guess it is a great introduction into this post. I am going to have some super healthy girls!

Welcome to the Stewart Spa located in our backyard. Complete with a mud bath and rinse off with cold hose water.

Easter Sunday

The girls woke up and I could of swore they were as excited as they are on Christmas morning. It was close to 6am when they started looking for baskets. These pictures are blurry, but I was operating on little to no sleep so we are lucky there is anything to even show for these early hours of Easter!
Sadie was getting big girl things like nail polish and lip gloss and she felt so special that the Easter Bunny thought she was such a big girl.
Sadie helped Brian find his basket. There was no way the Easter Bunny was going to forget Brian like it did last year.
I love the look on Sadie's face...and Brian is just a little tired in this first one :)
The girls wanted pedicures with their Easter nail polish and they both held still and it looked awesome...until they took a bath and the polish all chunked off! I couldn't believe how cheap that stuff was. It was the stuff that is suppose to smell like bubbilicious gum and candy so I guess I shouldn't have expected much.
 Emmy showing off her nails.
This is so typical for Sadie not to look at the camera and Emmy to give me attitude! I love how cute they look in their Easter dresses though!
After church we had a delicious meal with Grandma and Poppa and then an Easter Egg hunt in their backyard. I filled a lot of the eggs up with money for this one and when Sadie was sorting her eggs she would shake them to see if their was money inside and discarded all the candy ones without even opening them. Smart girl!
She went to pick it up right when it rolled between her feet. I love my two-year-old! She cracks me up daily!

Easter

Oh man...this baby feels like she might be coming tonight, so I will just throw this up here in case I don’t make it Smile
I love my little family, soon to be a little bigger of a family!
False alarm...expect more of Easter soon!

Saturday Easter Activities

We started the day with the Neighborhood/Ward Easter Egg Hunt, which was very short and sweet. Sadie filled her bag with eggs and Emmy was satisfied with just a few. They are totally getting the hang of this Easter Egg hunting thing.

Sadie was a bit annoyed that we had to wait a few minutes for the hunt to start.

Right after that we went to the ISU Easter carnival and made crafts and had lunch. They are actually having the Easter Egg Hunt this Saturday (the 22nd) for some reason and not the same day as the carnival.

Sadie won a Phineus and Ferb gift basket. We seem to always win something at all of these family activities. I guess that is our tuition money hard at work. It is next to impossible to get this girl to look at the camera when I am taking a picture...

So she finally gave me a close-up.

Brian worked in the basement the rest of the day and it was just KILLING Sadie because she really wanted to decorate eggs. So finally by around 6:45pm we started decorating and eating eggs.

We didn’t have any carrots, but we had some other things for the Easter bunny. It is probably good that Sadie didn’t see Emmy eating the Easter bunnies food because it would have ticked her off!

Picture Dump

During the Saturday priesthood session of conference we had a girls night with Grandma and went shopping, out to eat and to the park to play.

Sadie was teaching Brian how to do an arabesque. Brian looks more like he is doing a Superman pose with his fist. Smile

Emmy thinks my phone is hers and is on it all day either watching family videos or playing Angry Birds. This is right after she killed some pigs on Angry Birds.

More from Utah... I was so lazy in Utah and didn’t pull out my nice camera for anything, so here is a few pictures from my phone. Sadie and Emmy were super gassy after our drive down from Idaho so I told them to have a tooting contest. It was hilarious, but maybe you just had to be there Smile

Lisa likes to take us to the latest and greatest restaurant finds throughout the valley. We had some yummy crepes at this place. Brian and Lisa were such a great auntie and uncle to my girls while we were there visiting!

Basement Progress

Brian has been doing such an awesome job balancing work, school and finishing the basement. It’s such a huge project and I feel bad that I can’t help more, esp since we are in the middle of painting and it would go so much faster with two people. Brian spent 14 hours on Saturday and another eight hours today painting. Such a daunting task... Here are a few pictures of the basement from two weeks ago. I forgot to mention Brian added really fun molding/shelves in each of the bedrooms too (no pictures of these yet, sorry). He has been adding a lot of cool custom details. I think it is awesome that Brian is such a  handyman! The things you don’t  know about a person until you get married and into a house!

You can kind of see the two different shades of blue I was trying out for the girls room. I love the one on the right.

Sadie loves seeing the progress in the basement just as much as Brian and I do. She is getting excited for a new bunk bed and a room designated for all of her toys!
