20 Weeks & Counting
We went in for our 20 week ultrasound on Tuesday and saw our baby girl moving and stretching and most importantly we verified that we really are having a GIRL! I had heard a few stories of tech guys being wrong so I had been a little anxious. I have been feeling lots of little kicks right around my belly button which has been a lot more fun than I had expected.
In four weeks I have to go back for the diabetic test thing. The nurse gave me some bright orange bottle of sugary nastiness. My friend just told me to chug it fast because it's terrible stuff! I feel like I am getting worked over with all of these tests. Lets just say that needles are becoming my friend.
We have bought a few baby outfits so far, a crib, glider chair, a fun picture frame, and some bright pink butterflies to decorate the room. I found a bed set I like at Target, but I think we will wait until our next Utah trip to decide on anything. There is just not a lot to choose from up here. I guess I need to just start checking online for stuff. Any good baby decor/bedding sites out there?
Besides that I just started reading Twilight yesterday and Edward is so mysterious... I am guessing he is a vampire, but I'm not quite sure yet. Brian has been really busy trying to schedule all of the remaining stake basketball games which hasn't been easy. He says this is his learning year and it is going to be a breeze next year. We've also been watching a lot of old movies lately. Yesterday we watched Kindergarten Cop and there is a Romney clip that is pretty darn funny using Schwarzenegger quotes from the movie.

Can't Get Enough...
How long have you been together? 3 years 10 months
How long did you date? We dated for about a year and a half (on and off) and were engaged for four months.
How old is he? 28
Who's taller? Brian's 6'2” and I am 5'9” on a good day...I'm thinking we are going to have tall kids. Who eats more? I probably eat more food throughout the day, but Brian tries to catch up at dinnertime.
Who said I love you first? He said it first, but I said it really quick after. We talked about it later and we both had the song from Cinderella playing in our heads.... “So This is Love” Kinda corny I know!
Who can sing better? Brian sings much better!!! I tried to get the bishopric to call him to be in the choir so he would go with me. I guess that is not how it works.
Who is smarter? Brian is SO much smarter than me it is embarrassing, but I wouldn't have it any other way.
Who does the laundry? I do. Once Brian said he was going to start doing his laundry because I kept losing his socks and shrinking his shirts and I was so sad that he has never brought it up again. I actually really like doing laundry.
Who pays the bills? We both do. He pays the credit card, phone, mortgage and I pay utilities, car, and whatever else comes in the mail.
Who sleeps on the right side? When we first got married Brian slept on the right side of the bed… and then a few months down the road I sheepishly asked if I could switch him because I liked that side better. He was kind enough to humor me.
Who mows the lawn? The yard and anything that occurs outside of the house is Brian’s domain. He says I complain too much when working in the yard. I'm sure my dad would agree with him!!!
Who cooks dinner? Well it is a toss up…I would say Applebee's, Subway, and Fiesta Ole'.
Who drives? I drop him off at work and pick him up. I guess you could say I am a chauffeur. But every other time we drive anywhere else he drives. We only have one car so whatever works.
Who is more stubborn? Brian is soo stubborn…I only say that because I know we are equally stubborn, but maybe if I convince Brian he is more so than he will give in more often.
Who kissed who first? He kissed me on my cheek first. I have never felt so loved!
Who proposed? Brian obviously proposed…I would never do that. Brian played "Can't Help Falling In Love With You" on the piano and serenaded me before popping the questions… I told you he can sing. Someone needs to call him to be in the choir!
Who has more friends? We have some fun couples in the ward we like to hang out with. I like to keep up ties with people “from the past” more than Brian does.
Who is more sensitive? Me, especially with me being pregnant. Thanks for putting up with me babe!

The hunter and the farmer...
A lawyer was hunting one day and shot a duck. The duck fell behind a fence, so the lawyer climbed the fence to get it. When he did, the land owner, an old farmer, happened by."What do you think you are doing, trespassing on my land ?" asked the farmer.
"I shot a duck, and I'm going to collect it. I'll be gone in a minute."
"I don't think so," said the farmer. "The duck landed on my property, so it's mine."
"Listen," said the lawyer. "Maybe you don't understand. I'm a famous trial lawyer and I sue people for a living. Under the law, that duck is rightfully mine. If you don't let me get it, I'll sue you for every dime you are worth."
"Well, I ain't from the city" said the farmer. "Out here we go by the three kick rule."
"I don't know what you are talking about," replied the lawyer.
"I kick you as hard as I want three times, then you get to kick me three times, and it goes on, until someone gives. Winner gets the duck."
After looking at the old, frail farmer, the lawyer agrees.
The farmer immediately plants the toe of his size 12 boot
into the knee of the lawyer, who shrieks in pain. Then the farmer quickly follows up with a kick in the groin, which rapidly drops the lawyer to the ground. The farmer then kicks him once more time in the face for good measure. Several minutes later, the lawyer struggles to his feet.
"OK," he gasps, "it's my turn."
"Nah," responded the farmer, "You can have the duck."

Back to a girly subject for this PINK page...
Sometimes...okay most of the time, when I am trying to fall asleep I think about how I would like to decorate certain areas of my house (this puts me to sleep pretty fast). I mostly like to think about how I want to decorate the baby room, the high shelf in the living room, above the cabinets in the kitchen. I REALLY like to decorate, but it is such a costly pastime I have come to find out! I was at Target yesterday and I found so much stuff that is exactly what I want to buy...just what I had been imagining as I fall asleep, but everything was so exorbitantly priced! I guess there are cheaper places to buy things in Idaho Falls like Real Deals and Roberts, but I haven't had much luck with those store lately.
I think until I find a really amazing sale I will just have to keep day dreaming about the perfectly designed interior I want to some day achieve.

The Jazz are on FIRE!!!
The Jazz are officially the hottest team in the NBA right now as they have won 8 in a row and 14 of their last 16 games! Kelly and I may have to make another trip down to see them in action again. They are hosting the New Orleans Hornets tonight so I hope Kelly will let me watch the game.
