ISU Easter Egg Hunt

Time is winding down before this baby comes (2 days!) and I figured it would be nice to get fully caught up with activities on this blog before it is inundated with super cute baby pictures :), so here  you go. The ISU Easter Egg hunt was about two weeks after Easter and it wasn't as great as last years! It was still fun for the kids because they of course don't remember how much cooler last years was.
Emmy was totally off her game this day and was really intimidated by all of the other 1-3 yr olds vying for eggs. Sadie had the sweetest sister moment where she led Emmy around and helped her pick up eggs and gave her a little more confidence. It was so sweet to see.
Sadie chose to be with the 4-6 year olds (even though she is still 3 for two more months). She chose wisely because there was an insane amount of eggs and barely anyone in that age group. It took them a good six to seven minutes to pick them all up. Sadie even had to come back and empty her bag one time so she could get more eggs.
Brian giving her a pep talk before they let the kids go...
We sent Emmy out to pick up some of the straggler eggs since it was taking so long for the kids to pick them all up.

Here is the loot the girls won. It was all from Big Lots, so I took Sadie and Emmy later that day to return the stuff they didn't want and Sadie picked out a cute Barbie Easter Basket and a baby bathtub with lots of fun accessories. We didn't stay for the adult hunt because the grand prize was a charcoal BBQ and Brian was just aching to get into the basement and bust out some wood floors :)

Easter booty with Easter cuties! Sadie will be like you growing up and people will think she is older. Love the pep talk shot with Brian. Emmy looks so innocent. I'm sure her killer instincts will kick in next year:)
