Emmy’s Big Day!

1-12monthscollageWeb

Emmy seriously knows how to melt our hearts! She is such a happy lovey, dovey baby and her smile and personality are infectious. The last two nights Emmy has woken up at about 11pm just wired and Brian and I get to have special fun time with Emmy. She just talks/laughs/screams and plays with us. Emmy and Sadie were sitting across from each other yesterday and kept leaning over and swapping kisses.

If I ever go on an errand with just Sadie and leave Emmy with Brian at home, Sadie asks me over and over where Emmy is and sounds genuinely concerned that Emmy is not with us. We are all IN LOVE with this girl!

All About Emmy

Her favorite things to say are “Baby Ohhhhhh”, “wOw”, and “Hi”

Emmy is a great dancer and will always be moving and shaking whenever music comes on. Her best dance move is kinda like a gansta one arm wave up and down

Emmy’s favorite quiet time thing to do is crawl into Sadie’s room and either pull all the books off her bookshelf, or go to the basket with all the mini books and look through them

Started walking on her own about a week before her birthday

Her favorite princess is Snow White

She says “thank you” when we hand her things (crazy I know!)

The other day I was telling Sadie she had to have three bites of her food before she could be done. So after the first bite I said “one” and then Emmy said “two, three”. My child is a friggin’ genius! Smile

She makes animal noises for the cow, sheep, dog, and cat, but her best sound is when she roars like a lion

Emmy is super social and will give everyone big smiles

She knows where her head and belly are

She talks happy robot jibberish all day long and will hold a very long baby conversation with you anytime you’d like

She loves us to chase her while she crawls away

Her all time love right now is swimming and dunking her head under the water

She shakes her head really fast and says, “no, no, no”

Her favorite shows are Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and Little Einsteins. When Mickey Mouse comes on she gets ahuge smile on her face and is very excited and during Little Einstein's she pats her lap saying “pat, pat, pat,” and then raises her arms in the air for the “Blast Off”

Emmy’s One Year Stats

Weight 22'lbs (67%)

Length 30” (80%)

Head Circ. 19” (99)

Brian came home for lunch and Sadie and him went and wrote Emmy’s name in the snow. It had become a tradition in our home on the 1st birthday to get your name somewhere BIG in the backyard. Brian is such a cute Dad!

While Sadie took a nap, Emmy and I played some more and did a mini-shoot with her cupcake onsie.

Then it was time for the party to begin. Daddy came home from work and Papa and Grandma came over and we had a big celebration!

Happy Birthday Emmy! She is seriously adorable. Great job on the birthday celebrations. I love it all... the giant cupcake, the decorations, her cupcake & tutu outfit. So cute!
What do you do to make the collage (the one at the top & the circle one below)?

Yum that huge cupcake looks good! Give Emmy a big, fat hug from all of us here in Garland. We love that girl, too.
